Why Should I Use Landing Pages?

Landing Pages

What is a landing page?

In digital marketing, a landing page is a standalone web page, created specifically for the purposes of a marketing or advertising campaign.

Landing pages are usually designed with a single focused objective – known as a Call to Action (CTA), to engage the customer to make a conversion.

So, why do I need to use them?

Landing pages are useful for increasing your conversion rates and lowering the cost that often comes with acquiring a lead or sale.

One of the biggest advantages to landing pages is that they drive the customer to the targeted promotion or product specific page focused on the single objective that usually matches the intention of the ad that your visitors clicked on to reach your website.

For example, sending traffic to your homepage, when you want them to buy a specific promotional product, is not likely to be very effective. While your homepage is designed to give a more general overview of your brand and corporate values - loaded with links and navigation to other areas of your site, a standalone landing page will deliver the customer directly to the product that engaged them to click in the first place, with the information they need to make a successful, informed purchase.

Every link on your page that doesn’t represent your conversion goal can be a distraction that dilutes your core message and can reduce your conversion rate.
