Habitat for Humanity New Zealand
Habitat for Humanity New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with people of goodwill and families in housing need to eliminate sub-standard housing by building, renovating and selling simple, decent houses on an affordable basis.
Following the tragic earthquake in Canterbury NZ in February 2011, Habitat for Humanity required a portal to link accommodation providers with displaced victims and volunteers seeking temporary accommodation.
From the point of taking the initial enquiry to the launch of the site was less than twenty four hours. In that time Pegboard Partner Husk coordinated the project working with Pegboard to take the brief; develop the scope; confirm the deliverables; coordinate with a third party engaged to do the design; build; test; gain approval and deploy the site.
shelter.org.nz connected hosts and people requiring temporary accommodation.
